Pause for thought…

Well I got back safely and in one piece. It was an amazing time in Belfast. Listening to 2000 men praise God, and some great speakers sharing their wisdom.

Jeff Lucas, the main speaker, was an inspiration and was funny and thought provoking at the same time. It is my prayer, and I know the prayer of many other church leaders in Doncaster, that the event on the 9th December at the Minister will be along the same lines.

‘What event?’ some of you may be saying. At 7.30pm on that day there is to be a special carol service with international speaker and author J. John as the guest speaker. J. John has done amazing outreach and mission work with thousands and, through his speaking and books, many have come to know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.

In God’s mission we are all called to do our part and our part for this date is to invite someone, or maybe more than one to attend - maybe a neighbour, maybe a family member or a friend. It promises to be both an entertaining but also a reflective and informative evening.

As we prepare to think about Jesus’ coming 2000 years ago, let’s think who we want to share this story with through laughter and song. Let’s get praying for those we want to invite so that, when we invite them, God will have been at work in their hearts already.

Let’s invite them and fill the Minister.

With love and prayers, Richard
