Tanis writes…

The bookstall is launched.

I am writing a book, and have been for the past 5 years; it isn’t exceptional and will never receive the acclaim that J.K.Rowling and other authors have. What it has done is given me insight into the production of books, a fairly long and complex journey.

Planning, research, presentation, production, and finally, publishing. I think that what I'm trying to say is that books are expensive. My book will never be a best seller, unlike the Harry Potter series, but there is one book that has been in production for over a thousand years, and still is a world wide ‘Best Seller’! The Bible!!

In the Bible we encounter the Word of God as something that He is still doing and not as something that He once did. It isn’t always easy to understand the Bible’s language, so there are many resources to help and guide us on our journey of faith as Christians. I hope that the bookstall will fulfil a need to know and understand more!

There are books to purchase, and books to borrow, for children and for adults. Please use this resource as another way of keeping your faith alive and spreading the Good News of Jesus at work in our lives today.

“For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the scriptures, we might have hope” (Romans 15-4)

With love and prayers, Tanis.
